The 3by400 web design team was formed in 2006 as a result of three individuals who have been working together on projects in the North Georgia area (Dahlonega and Suches), but as individual organizations. What has really brought us together in a big way is Joomla! Sound confusing?

Brent Laminack and Gerry Sommers had been working together successfully on projects for a few years. Brent then hooked up with Beth Snider in order to develop some applications for her existing clients. When an opportunity arose for the three to work collaboratively on a project, they decided that each person had unique talents to bring to the table, and that together, it was a great combination.

There are great new additions to our team on a regular basis, catching on to our work style quickly and working hard. See our entire team!

Experience

The company principals have combined five decades of business process and technology management and design experience. We're not just a couple of recent college grads with no grounding in the real world.

Team Depth

Our team members have strengths in System Administration, Custom Programming, Graphic Design, and Business Process Engineering. We let each play to their strength. This sets us apart from the one-person web design shops, or your friend who does web design on the side. We're probably the largest Joomla! web design team in Georgia.

Low Overhead

We're a virtual company working from the north Georgia mountains. We also specialize in using open-source tools to solve your business issues. This means you don't have to pay for our office space, gas, logo-emplazoned t-shirts or software. We sell just one thing: our time. This makes us different from the traditional storefront design house.

Honesty

Our core values are something we take seriously. They're not just words on a dusty sheet of paper on the shelf. This makes us different from people who have no moral compass.

Partnership

We work best where we're our clients partner in making web technology decisions. We don't have all the answers, but working together we can find ways to make your business more prosperous. This makes us different from people who just want to do web-design piecework for you, such as most off-shore outfits.

Results

We're results-oriented. We know your website is here to help your business make money, to help your organization thrive. We're not about web solutions that just look shiny. We're very focused on helping you succeed.

So look around. See our portfolio, our team, and evaluate our work...then talk to us.

3by400 Blog

  • Another Reason to Update Content

Probably half of our clients rarely, if ever, update their sites. We don't update our home page often, but we do blog semi-regularly. It's just become more important to all of us to update our web site's content regularly. Why? A post just appeared on the official Google Blog (you didn't know they had one, did you?) entitled Giving you fresher, more recent search results, Google will now more heavily weigh freshness of content. How heavily? They're rather vague about that, but the article seems to indicate that this will be a major shift for Google.

  • IE9 Coming When You Least Expect It

One of the things we test extensively on our sites is cross-browser compatibility. We try to make sure that your site looks the same (or as close as we can come) on all major browsers... Read on...

Our Clients Say...
